  • This is an epic loop that starts at the edge of the desert and takes you into its very heart, before crossing the High Atlas mountains back to Marrakech.

    • 1. The Gates of the Desert: Your Mtb vacation begins at the iconic Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and travels through Ouarzazate.

    • 2. The Draa Valley: Your journey continues south along the legendary Draa Valley. You’ll discover incredible places like the Tizgui waterfall, the striking Jbel Kissane mountain, and the historic kasbah of Tamnougalt, passing through villages like Tansight and Oulad Atman as you head towards Zagora.

    • 3. The Deep Sahara: From the famous pottery town of Tamegroute, you push into the true Sahara desert, reaching the remote sand seas of Erg Lihoudi and the magnificent dunes of Erg Chigaga.

    • 4. The Return Route: Your adventure loops back towards civilization via the vast dry lake of Iriki, the Elmdouar mountains, Foum Zguid, and the carpet-making town of Taznaght.

    • 5. The High Atlas Crossing: The grand finale is your journey over the spectacular Tichka Pass, which brings you out of the desert and back to your final destination: Marrakech.
